Cooperative Farmers Elevator
Position Description & Accountability
JOB TITLE: Feed Systems Specialist
REPORTS TO: Feed Systems Manager
DEPARTMENT: Feed
LOCATION: TBD
CLASSIFICATION: Full time
Position Objective
To support the feed ordering and billing process to maximize efficiencies for Cooperative Farmers Elevators customers in a manner that will improve the cooperative's efficiency, help achieve the cooperative's mission and goals, and result in outstanding customer service.
Requirements
Feed Systems Specialist
Feed Order Entry and Billing
  • Enter feed orders and track budgets
  • Maintain positive relationships with all customers
  • Track drug use and ensure it complies with VFD guidelines
  • Promptly and courteously answer the phone
  • Work with customers to resolve problems and report complaints to your supervisor
  • Actively work to increase personal skills and knowledge
  • Make arrangements ahead of time for coverage of duties in case of a planned absence, such as vacation, or an unplanned absence, such as illness
  • Accurately bill and process feed orders to ensure correct invoicing is provided to the customer
  • Assist with feed inventory

Safety and Compliance
Uphold Company Safety & Compliance policies
  • Uphold all cooperative policies
  • Attend all Employee Right to Know meetings, etc. held as required or scheduled in conjunction with Safety Director or location safety member

Other Duties
Perform other duties as assigned by management
  • Favorable feedback is received from all department managers when assigned to perform or assist with other duties and responsibilities in those departments

  • Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma and/or experience in a related area
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel software
  • Ability to perform basic math skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time
  • Performing skilled duties with high an attention to details

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
