Reports to: Claims Manager
Direct Reports: None
Location: Jacksonville Office
Position type: Full-Time
Normal Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM
FLSA Status: Exempt, Salaried

What You'll Do
As a Claims Adjuster Trainee, you'll receive hands-on training and mentorship while building the skills needed to investigate, evaluate, and resolve property claims with confidence. You'll learn about claims handling, policy coverage, customer service, industry systems, and Florida licensing requirements. As your knowledge grows, you'll begin managing lower-complexity claims while helping policyholders navigate the claims process with professionalism, empathy, and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
  • Learn the Claims Process
  • Complete training in licensing, claims handling, policy coverage, systems, and customer service while developing the skills needed to successfully manage property claims.
  • Investigate amp; Resolve Claims
  • Verify coverage, investigate losses, establish reserves, document claim activity, and work toward timely and accurate claim resolution as your experience grows.
  • Support Our Policyholders
  • Communicate with policyholders, contractors, attorneys, and public adjusters by providing claim updates, explaining coverage decisions, and delivering outstanding customer service throughout the claims process.
  • Collaborate amp; Maintain Compliance
  • Partner with internal teams to identify subrogation opportunities, recognize potential fraud indicators, and ensure claims are handled in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements. You'll also support catastrophe response efforts when business needs arise.
What You'll Bring
  • High school diploma required; college degree or related business experience preferred.
  • Valid Florida 6-20 All Lines Adjuster License or the ability to obtain one within 14 calendar days of employment.
  • 0-3 years of Florida property claims experience.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build trust and resolve challenging situations.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn claims management systems quickly.
