Job description

DTI Trucks, the premier truck dealership in Colorado is looking to fill positions in our fabrication/up fitting department. Fabrication/Upfitting technicians of all experience are welcome to apply. Well-experienced technicians will have a high earning potential. Entry level technicians and trade school graduates are encouraged to apply as well. The opportunity for growth is tremendous within our organization.

Ideal candidates must have:

· Valid drivers license

· 5+ Years of Upfitting experience

· Automotive electrical knowledge

· Knowledge of hydraulics, air brake systems and ABS systems

· Computer literacy,

· How to weld, use a torch, plasma cutter, cutting and grinding equipment

· CDL license may be required to drive some of our trucks


Duties and Responsibilities:

· Installation and removal of several types of truck bodies and equipment.

· Modification of truck wheelbases.

· Installation and removal of truck suspensions.

· Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy

· Fabrication and installation of components related to truck equipment installations.

· Ability to follow diagrams, written and verbal instruction

· Ability to work with others and possess good communication skills

· Ability to work with minimal supervision

· Frequently lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds or more.

· Must be able to work outside on occasion

· Ability to work in a loud environment

· Always keep shop area neat and clean and account for all tools.
