Rockstar Games is seeking excited, curious, and passionate product management professionals to help lead our Online Services product teams. As a member of our team, you will push the boundaries of what gaming experiences can be by finding innovative solutions to complex problems. Working with a wide variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders, you will be central in creating and executing on a vision for the Rockstar Games online platform, which services millions of players worldwide.
This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar's NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan.
WHAT WE DO
  • The Rockstar Games Online Services Team is a passionate development group, focused on growing and maintaining the technology platform that powers Rockstar's online game titles and our ability to deliver world-class player experiences.
  • We increase the reach and capabilities of promotional experiences delivered through all of Rockstar's stores.
  • The Commerce Product Manager will drive new and innovative commercial experiences for our players and be essential to the development of our storefronts across our platforms including in-game, web, and PC applications, as well as through our commerce partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Be an expert with a wealth of product and domain knowledge, not just on the commerce platform technologies that support our games, but the key monetization techniques, strategies, and technologies of the gaming industry and our core competitors.
  • Drive every step of the end-to-end software product development cycle, starting from conducting effective product discoveries on brand new initiatives, to shipping new features on all storefronts through exceptional stakeholder management.
  • Adopt the player mindset and align with Business, Legal, Marketing, Engineering and other teams to transform bold concepts into refined, well-scoped, player-first features.
  • Build product strategies and convert them into actionable initiatives and prioritized backlogs that are aligned with company goals.
  • Provide functional feature specification documentation, feature visuals and all other artifacts that help define the appropriate scope, feasibility, level of effort and drive key decision points.
  • Leverage reporting systems to monitor software performance that help influence prioritization, scope, feature design, and post launch corrections, along with executive reporting.
REQUIREMENTS
  • 12+ years of technology product management experience, ideally on large scale user-facing software platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in conducting product & player research to qualitatively understand and clearly communicate player behaviors, needs, and pain points.
  • Expertise in leading initiatives end-to-end, from inception and design through development, testing, and implementation.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments, translating complex problems into practical solutions, and clearly visualizing, sketching, and diagramming concepts to drive alignment effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience documenting clear, comprehensive functional requirements and software specifications for cross-functional technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience preparing and presenting senior leadership-level reports on behalf of the product team.

The pay range for this position in New York State (inclusive of New York City) at the start of employment is expected to be between the range below* per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
