Central Amusement International Inc. (CAI) is an amusement park development and management company located in New York City. In 2003, CAI developed Victorian Gardens at Wollman Rink in Central Park, and in 2010 developed Luna Park in Coney Island, at the site of the birthplace of the amusement industry. CAI is part of the Zamperla Group, which is the worldwide leader in the manufacturing of amusement rides.


Central Amusement International Inc. (CAI) is currently recruiting qualified candidates to fill the role of Ride Operator Team Member. Ride Operator Team Members will be responsible for various tasks including loading and unloading customers onto rides safely and efficiently. Ride Operators Team Members will work both independently and in a team environment.


Location: Luna Park in Coney Island, 1000 Surf Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11224, USA


Job Description:

  • Perform daily tests on ride operating systems to ensure functionality.
  • Secure ride perimeter fencing to maintain a safe environment.
  • Conduct thorough safety checks for rides and surrounding areas.
  • Operate attractions according to standard operating procedure.
  • Climb raised platforms and staircases as part of routine tasks.
  • Deliver clear verbal safety instructions to ensure guest well-being.
  • Enforce rules and regulations, monitoring and addressing inappropriate guest behavior.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of attractions.
  • Provide exceptional guest service, enhancing the overall park experience.
  • Communicate professionally with coworkers, supervisors, and park guests.
  • Learn and adhere to all relevant department policies and procedures.
  • Make prompt and effective decisions in various operational scenarios.
  • Embrace additional responsibilities as assigned, contributing to the park's success.


Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate and understand the English language.
  • Ability to lift, stand, stoop, walk, bend, and reach comfortably throughout the shift.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor with excellent communication skills.
