Job Description
  • Quality Assurance/Control Inspections
  • Material Testing (WABO Certificationย Required)
  • Review approved construction drawings and specifications
  • Communicate with contractor workers, foremen, superintendents, project managers, building inspectors and report findings
  • Write concise inspection reports using specific language pertaining to contract documents, approved drawings, and any applicable code
  • Communicate with AAR office to report inspection observations, scheduling and sample pick up coordination
  • Supervise and train junior inspectors and testing technicians
  • Perform observations and inspections mainly related to Concrete/Steel/Civil
  • Inspection and verification of materials for compliance to the plans and specifications
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with the Contract, Specifications, and RFC plans
  • Accurately complete quality records relating to material testing, hold-point inspections, and material receiving
  • Initiate non-conformance processes when materials, products, tools, equipment or Work do not meet the required specifications
  • Review of contract documents
  • Study project specifications to determine appropriate construction methods and procedures
  • Ensure that contractors comply with specifications
  • The ability to obtain certifications to perform in-field material testing
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager
Qualifications
  • (Preferred but not limited to) Previous experience in a project quality role
  • (Preferred but not limited to) Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or Three (3) years' relevant work experience plus a technical or Associate's degree, or five (5) years of relevant inspection experience
  • WABO certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Energetic, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize and manage a multi-task workload

Salary Range: $30-55/hour, depending on qualifications
