Description
The Office of Dual Enrollment within the Division of Academic Affairs at Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University (AAMU) invites applications for Adjunct Faculty positions to support the continued strategic growth and expansion of the University's Dual Enrollment Program.
AAMU is seeking dynamic, student-centered educators who are passionate about academic excellence and committed to preparing high school students for success in college. Adjunct faculty serve as part-time instructors responsible for delivering rigorous, engaging, college-level instruction while fostering an inclusive learning environment that promotes student achievement, critical thinking, and academic readiness.
This is an outstanding opportunity to inspire academically talented high school students, expand access to higher education, and contribute to one of Alabama's fastest-growing Dual Enrollment initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Teach college-level Dual Enrollment courses in campus-based, high school-based, online, hybrid, synchronous, and/or asynchronous learning environments.
• Deliver engaging, high-quality instruction that promotes student success and academic excellence.
• Develop and maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for high school students enrolled in college coursework.
• Assess student learning, provide meaningful feedback, and submit grades in accordance with university deadlines.
• Maintain regular communication with students and respond promptly to academic inquiries.
• Utilize Blackboard Ultra and other instructional technologies to support teaching and learning.
• Maintain accurate academic records and comply with university policies, procedures, and accreditation standards.
• Participate in required faculty meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
• Collaborate with University administrators, department faculty, and K-12 partners to support the goals of the Dual Enrollment Program.
• Serve as a positive representative of Alabama A&M University while engaging students, parents, school partners, and the community.
Typical Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the assigned subject area.
• Experience teaching at the high school and/or college level is preferred.
• Experience teaching Dual Enrollment students is desirable.
