We are looking for a Market Manager to drive market strategy, identify growth opportunities, and provide the insights that shape the future of our HVAC Comfort Solutions business.
In this highly strategic role, you will serve as the internal expert on market trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and industry developments. You will help define where to play and where to invest by translating market intelligence into actionable business strategies, growth initiatives, and long-term roadmaps.
Working closely with Product Management, Portfolio Marketing, Sales, and Leadership teams, you will provide data-driven recommendations that influence strategic decisions, support solution development, and position Copeland for sustainable growth across key markets.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the market strategy for the business, including market sizing, growth analysis, competitive assessments, and industry trend evaluation.
  • Build and maintain market roadmaps that guide future product and solution development.
  • Conduct market segmentation, targeting, and prioritization activities to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Identify growth opportunities through analysis of customer needs, market trends, emerging applications, and industry developments.
  • Gather and analyze Voice of Customer insights to understand market challenges, customer requirements, and regulatory drivers.
  • Develop and maintain market models that support business planning and strategic investment decisions.
  • Monitor competitor activities, market movements, and end-user requirements to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Conduct value assessments that support solution strategies and value proposition development.
  • Support evaluation of strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and M&A opportunities.
  • Translate market intelligence into actionable recommendations and growth initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Product Management, Portfolio Marketing, Commercial, and Leadership teams to align market insights with business priorities.
  • Embed market intelligence into annual operating plans, strategic reviews, and long-term business planning processes.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
  • Approximately 3-5 years of experience in Market Management, Strategic Marketing, Business Development, Market Intelligence, Product Marketing, Consulting, or a similar analytical role.
  • Experience conducting market research, market sizing, segmentation, and trend analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to transform data and insights into clear business recommendations.
  • Experience developing strategic plans, growth initiatives, or market strategies.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams through data-driven insights.
  • Fluent English language skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within HVAC, climate technologies, building technologies, industrial markets, or a related technical industry.
  • Knowledge of market modeling, strategic planning, competitive intelligence, and customer research methodologies.
  • Experience working with Voice of Customer programs and market segmentation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with M&A assessments, market due diligence, or growth strategy projects.
  • Experience supporting international businesses across multiple markets.

About the Location
This role can be performed remotely within Germany, with occasional travel to our Aachen office and customer locations across the region.
Travel is expected to be approximately 20%, including customer visits, industry events, trade exhibitions, and strategic business meetings.
