Job description

This position is eligible for a $1500 sign on bonus

We’re looking for motivated sales professionals, who live in RI, to join our team as Inside Sales Insurance Agents. This is a fully remote position, offering paid training and covering all costs for your Personal Lines Insurance License. If you thrive in outbound sales and want to grow in the insurance industry, this is your opportunity! 

Class Date: Sept 28, 2026

Training Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am-5pm for your first 4-6 months.

Permanent Work Schedule: 11:30am-8:00pm 4 weekdays w/ 1 weekend day (Weekdays and Weekend days may change based on business needs


What You’ll Do: 

  • Insurance Sales Responsibilities:
    • Sell auto insurance, homeowners insurance, and other personal lines products to AAA members via phone and online 
    • Conduct outbound sales calls to prospective and existing members to promote insurance products 
    • Provide personalized coverage options and premium quotes 
    • Maintain detailed records of sales activities and client interactions in our CRM system 
    • Participate in sales programs and respond promptly to referrals 
  • Regulatory & Compliance 
    • Learn and follow carrier-specific underwriting and quoting procedures 
    • Ensure compliance with agency policies for quoting, binding coverage, and handling payments 
    • Collaborate with Underwriting and Quality Assurance to reduce risks and ensure accuracy 
    • Stay current on insurance regulations and best practices 
  • Additional Responsibilities 
    • Build strong relationships with clients and industry partners 
    • Occasionally travel for training (approx. 5%) 
    • Deliver AAA Five Diamond Service in every interaction 
    • Cross-sell AAA memberships and other relevant services

What You Need: 

  • Must have a quiet, dedicated home office space 
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection 

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate's Degree preferred

Experience

  • 2+ years sales or customer service experience required and
  • Insurance sales experience preferred
  • Outbound or cold-calling experience strongly preferred 

Licenses and Certifications

  • Must obtain Personal Lines Insurance License within 30 days (training and exam fees covered by AAA Northeast) 
  • Life License within 1 Year Preferred

*Sign-on bonus terms: Any candidate who accepts a full-time, regular job as an Insurance Agent with AAA Northeast will be eligible to receive a $1500 sign-on bonus. This bonus will be issued in two installments, the first after successful completion of 3 months of employment and the second after successful completion of 6 months of employment. These bonus terms take effect on your first day of work.

Due to business and operational requirements, employees in this role must perform their work from a primary residence located within Rhode Island.
