Job description

Responsible for leading a team of Field Insurance Sales Agents in multiple AAA Northeast branch locations, driving sales initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence. This role involves supporting the development and implementation of sales strategies, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to the sales team towards the achievement of sales targets.
What you will do:

  • Monitor and analyze sales data, identify trends, and propose improvements for team to meet and exceed goals. Conduct daily huddles with team to identify opportunities, share best practices, and foster a team coaching environment. Provide regular feedback and coaching to each member of the team, with a personalized approach based on each individuals skills and opportunities.
  • Advocates and ensures adherence to policies, procedures, and industry standards through call monitoring and review of new business submissions. Coordinate team schedule and proactively addresses any gaps in coverage. Manage and approve timesheets and time off requests.
  • Responsible for regular branch visits within assigned region to support team of Field Insurance Agents in-person. Establish a strong partnership with branch management to ensure regular feedback regarding member service, attendance, and reliability.
  • Partners with Talent Acquisition for interviewing and hiring new employees on the team. Leverages the Predictive Index to conduct a consistent and fair selection process. Works closely with the Training and Nesting team to ensure smooth onboarding experience for new hires, including training and technical guidance as needed. Clearly articulate goals and objectives, provide ongoing coaching, and administer performance reviews.
  • Proactively address performance and employee relations issues. Involve additional members of leadership and/or Human Resources as needed. Identify and document areas of improvement and administer performance counseling as required.
  • Partner with various stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of systems, processes, referrals, and sales training. Participate in quarterly sales meetings, presenting and championing for the team.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring five diamond customer service. Handle customer escalations and resolve issues to ensure they are totally satisfied. Champion the benefits of a AAA Northeast membership, providing best practices to the team.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, product knowledge, regulatory changes, and insurance carrier products. Ensure all agency processes and procedures are followed in quoting and binding coverage, as well as receipt and processing of all member payments. Partner with Quality Assurance and Underwriting departments to minimize error and omission exposures. In depth knowledge of insurance practices, including the scope of an agent's authority.

What You Will Need

  • High School required
  • Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Management or Related Field preferred
  • 3+ years Direct leadership/management experience required or
  • 1+ years in preceding job level required and
  • 6+ years Insurance sales experience, with a track record of sales success including cross-selling and/or referrals for Life Insurance required
  • Valid Personal Lines License Upon Hire required
  • Valid Life License (may vary based on state) within 1 Year required
  • Valid Insurance designation(s) (AAI, CISR, ACSR, etc.) within 1 Year required
