About the Construction Estimator Role

We are seeking a Construction Estimator with a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing the full lifecycle of project proposalsfrom site visits to final estimates. We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including a $2,000 sign-on bonus, company vehicle, and gas card.


Construction Estimator Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate client requests and develop detailed, accurate proposals.
  • Perform construction bidding and cost estimating.
  • Formulate written schedules of values for proposed work.
  • Conduct pre-bid site visits and assessments.
  • Review bid documents and manage the proposal process.
  • Prepare conceptual scope of work drawings.
  • Create simple CAD or equivalent drawings for proposals.
  • Prepare and distribute proposal packages, including all bidding documentation, to solicit pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
  • Source and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
  • Maintain and update historical cost data and vendor lists.
  • Read and interpret blueprints proficiently.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of construction principles and code requirements.
  • Hold an OSHA 30 certification.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.


Construction Estimator Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong background in commercial construction estimating.
  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction estimating experience, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Proficient in estimating software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
