Job Responsibilities

25% Communication: Provide engaging and friendly member service. Deliver established 5-hour pre-licensing curriculum to students in a classroom or virtual setting. Give clear, thorough instructions to students to ensure understanding of curriculum. Give feedback to students on course progress. Provide teaching availability to admin staff.

25% Customer Service: Understand AAA products and services to ensure quality customer service. Resolve customer concerns using problem solving skills. Demonstrate AAA Core Values in every customer interaction.

25% Job Knowledge: Effectively utilize AAA systems, following established policies and guidelines. Understand and utilize established driving curriculum and training techniques. Keep informed of traffic safety and DMV regulations

25% Operations: Plan, prepare and teach established curriculum to students. Encourage student involvement during class time. Responsible for class administration, including the collection of required DMV forms, and distribution of course materials, completion certificates, and student sign-in sheets. Ensure that student course completion certificates are accurate and neat. Must be able to use PowerPoint format to conduct class.

Job Specific Requirements
  • Must be able to pass a Club and DMV background check.
  • General knowledge of existing AAA Driver Programs.
  • Extensive knowledge of traffic safety/traffic laws.
  • Ability to effectively teach curriculum and gain understanding from students.
  • Strong verbal and writing skills required.
  • Ability to effectively interact with members and customers.
  • Available to conduct 2-4 classes per month
  • Communicate availability for class assignments at least on a monthly basis.
  • Valid MV-524 Certificate with classroom endorsement issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles is required.
    Physical Requirements
    • Must be able to sit for extended periods and have full range of motion allowing you to bend neck in downward position, bend and twist at the waist
    • Must be able to differentiate between colors
    • Must be able to lift, push, pull a maximum of 50 pounds (Tires, Batteries for Instruction)

    Starting pay range: $27.00 - $30.00 an hour
