ROLE_DESCRIPTION -
Qualification 10+ years of experience in data architecture or data engineering roles, with at least 3 years in the P&C insurance domain.
• Strong understanding of insurance data domains: policy, claims, billing, underwriting, actuarial, and regulatory reporting.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Snowflake).
• Experience with data modernization initiatives
• Proficiency in data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and data warehousing.
• Hands-on experience with ETL and BI tools like Informatica , Datastage, Tableau, Cognos, Power BI
• Familiarity with insurance core systems (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek) and data standards (e.g., ACORD).

Responsibilities • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data architecture tailored to the needs of the P&C insurance business.
• Develop enterprise data models that support core insurance functions such as policy administration, claims processing, billing, and reinsurance.
• Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, claims, and IT teams to translate business requirements into robust data solutions.
• Lead the modernization of legacy systems and migration to cloud-based data platforms
• Define data integration strategies across internal systems (e.g., Duck Creek) and third-party data providers (e.g., ISO, LexisNexis).
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance in compliance with industry regulations (e.g., NAIC, SOX).
• Support advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and AI/ML initiatives by ensuring data readiness and accessibility.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and analysts.
• Work closely with client to define data strategy
• Present solutions to architecture review board and support implementation of solution by development team.
