Job description

The Role

Veeva is seeking a Technical Architect to join our growing Patient CRM team. This pivotal role involves designing, overseeing, and executing technical services for customer implementations of the Patient CRM product, specifically focused on the complex data ecosystem of patient support and patient engagement. You will act as a trusted advisor, blending deep technical expertise with industry knowledge to ensure seamless data connectivity between customer data sources and Patient CRM.

We seek team players who are experts in integration patterns, thrive as self-starters, and are excited to build the technical foundation for customer success. This is a remote, full-time permanent role with Veeva. It is a customer-facing role with no specific work location requirement, provided you are in close proximity to an airport and able to meet future travel requirements. Veeva Systems does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status for this position.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead technical discovery workshops to define integration requirements and align on architectural best practices
  • Design and document end-to-end integration flows between Patient CRM and external entities, including Hubs, Specialty Pharmacies, and Data Aggregators
  • Articulate complex technical and integration concepts to both business and IT audiences
  • Develop and leverage expertise in the Vault platform to build scalable, high-performance solutions
  • Plan, manage, and perform technical build activities, including API configurations, middleware orchestration, and batch data processing
  • Identify and monitor technical interdependencies between various workstreams to mitigate project risk
  • Contribute to the development of technical implementation methodologies and reusable integration assets for the Patient CRM team
  • Support pre-sales activities by providing technical architecture reviews, scope definition, and responding to complex functional inquiries
  • Collaborate with Product and Strategy teams to provide feedback on technical capabilities and drive product excellence
  • Mentor junior technical consultants to facilitate a growing and collaborative team environment
Requirements
  • 7+ years of demonstrated technical consulting or technical architecture experience
  • Proven expertise in Life Sciences, with a specific focus on the technical challenges of patient support and patient engagement
  • Deep knowledge of modern integration approaches, including Middleware, direct REST/SOAP APIs, and secure batch file sharing
  • Experience architecting data exchanges between diverse entities such as CRM platforms, hubs, and specialty pharmacies
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior IT management through technical subject matter expertise
  • Adept at simplifying complex data mapping and vendor integration concepts for varying stakeholder groups
  • Strong solution design skills with a focus on data integrity and security
  • Ability to manage multiple technical workstreams concurrently in a fast-paced environment
  • Travel requirements are flexible; implementation roles may involve up to 25% travel

  • Experience operating in a lean, agile, and evolving startup-like setting within a larger organization
  • Prior experience building or leading a technical service offering within a software vendor environment
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and refining technical delivery frameworks and best practices

Compensation
  • Base pay: $80,000 - $200,000
  • The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
