Job description

Step into an engaging school-based opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a welcoming educational setting near Central Point, OR. This contract position offers the chance to work onsite, collaborating with a supportive team dedicated to helping students reach their communication goals.
Key Qualifications:

  • Valid licensure/certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • At least one year of previous experience working as a SLPA in a school environment
  • Strong understanding of school-based therapy practices and IEP processes
  • Ability to work effectively onsite, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor with students and staff
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • New graduates are not eligible for this role
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Support the implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs) by following outlined therapy goals and activities
  • Accurately document student progress and prepare progress reports as required
  • Participate in team meetings, collaborating with educators and related service providers
  • Assist in maintaining therapy materials and a safe, inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Communicate regularly with supervising SLP, ensuring compliance with district and state guidelines
