KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all accounting operations including Credit Card/Financing A/R, A/P, GL, Inventory Accounting, Treasury Management, and Revenue Recognition

  • Manage and supervise accounting staff; mentor and develop team members to ensure departmental growth and performance

  • Ensure timely and accurate period, quarterly, and annual financial closings

  • Responsible for all payroll-related GL activity

  • Manage all Intacct/GL related updates/changes and custom reporting needs

  • Prepare and present financial statements in accordance with GAAP

  • Develop internal control policies, procedures, and compliance protocols

  • Coordinate and manage annual audits and liaise with external auditors and Signet's Internal Audit team

  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports and forecasts

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting

  • Oversee Sales Tax compliance with applicable states

  • Oversee the implementation and optimization of accounting systems and tools

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar Finance field

  • 7+ years of practical accounting experience in a corporate setting

  • Proficient use of Excel and other Microsoft Office tools

  • Previous retail or jewelry industry experience preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a time environment

  • Local to Charlotte area and available to be in the office on a hybrid schedule
