Summary:
Responsible and accountable for advancing clinical quality and patient safety through the optimal use of IT-enabled clinical initiatives that affect or involve quality departments, nursing work practices and ancillary services in all settings, inpatient and ambulatory, enterprise-wide for Broward Health. Drives the strategic vision for how technology will enhance clinical quality practice and workflow for nurses and allied health professionals, clinical quality and patient safety for the entire organization and any new acquisitions or partnerships. Collaborates closely with clinical leaders and IT workforce, to establish and implement policies and standards involving IT systems. Translator and main point of liaison for quality informatics with physicians, other health care professionals, management and IT professionals. As an educator and transformational leader, understanding and communicating the benefits of IT enabled initiatives to engage the quality, nursing and allied health workforce.
Education:
Essential:
* Bachelor's degree required. Specialization in nursing strongly preferred.
Experience:
Essential:
* Seven years of related clinical informatics experience.
Credentials:
* EMR certifications as required.
