Locum Specialty Doctor in Emergency Medicine (A&E)

We are seeking an experienced Locum Specialty Doctor in Emergency Medicine to join a busy NHS Emergency Department. The successful candidate will provide high-quality acute and emergency care to patients presenting with a wide range of medical, surgical, and trauma-related conditions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated clinician with previous NHS Emergency Medicine experience who is available to commence work immediately.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients attending the Emergency Department.
  • Provide timely and effective emergency care in accordance with NHS and Trust guidelines.
  • Manage acute medical, surgical, and trauma presentations.
  • Perform clinical procedures within the scope of competence.
  • Work collaboratively with consultants, specialty teams, nursing staff, and allied healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
  • Participate in clinical handovers and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with Trust policies, GMC standards, and patient safety protocols.
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
  • Right to Work in the UK with appropriate documentation.
  • Excellent communication and team-working skills.
  • Ability to start work ASAP.
  • Previous experience working as a Specialty Doctor, Middle Grade, or Registrar in Emergency Medicine.
  • Experience working in a busy NHS Emergency Department.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development and clinical audit participation.
