We deliver software solutions for our clients throughout the United States and Canada by means of building new applications, implementing cloud and packaged systems, and/or modernizing legacy systems.

The Role
As a Database Administrator, you will work in a collaborative environment where you will play a key role in configuring, maintaining, supporting, and tuning application databases, primarily in the cloud. You will also research and do proofs-of-concepts on new technologies to improve our ability to support RedMane's clients. We are seeking to engage your inquisitive nature and inclination to learn.
Preferred Technical Skills
  • Experience with database management systems including but not limited to DB2, MS SQL, and Postgres.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and/or AWS and their database services as well as a familiarity with DevOps.
  • Knowledge of IT Operations best practices in a 24/7/365 always on service model.
  • Experience designing, configuring, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining databases in cloud environments in Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
  • Experience with tuning large databases to optimize performance.

Responsibilities include:
  • Constantly improving skills set and sharing new knowledge with others on the team.
  • Participate in the daily team stand-ups.
  • New product research and completing proof-of-concepts on how it can improve our ability to support RedMane clients.
  • Complete level 2 and level 3 support tickets.
  • Analyze issues and determine root cause along with completing solutions to resolve.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors or master's degree in computer science or related field preferred
  • Must have an interest in and willingness to learn diverse technologies
  • Understanding of computer virtualization, networking fundamentals, scripting and automation.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $100,000/year to $140,000/year.
