What You'll Do:
  • Deliver materials and equipment to construction sites, ensuring timely and safe service.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, demonstrating Diligent's commitment to customer obsession.
  • Operate a knuckle boom flatbed truck safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational readiness.
  • Load and unload materials using the knuckle boom, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage.
  • Assess and optimize load distribution to enhance vehicle performance and safety.
  • Identify and propose new insights and improvements to business practices, fostering a culture of innovation and curiosity.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and training sessions to share best practices and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and other team members to coordinate deliveries and service requests.
  • Support colleagues in achieving team goals and embodying the core value of teamwork.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of self and others during operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and maintenance as required by company policy and regulatory standards.
We'd love to hear from you if you:
  • You have Crane experience (Hiab, PM, and or Palfinger) also plus (NCCCO certification is preferred).
  • You are physically fit to perform the job, which requires pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50 pounds (you will be exposed to a physical environment outdoors in various weather conditions, which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most of the workday)
  • You have a Class A or B CDL license for over 5 years, and you like to be home every night.
  • You put safety 1st and are steadfast in keeping people safe from harm.
  • You have excellent time management skills.
  • You can safely operate a knuckle boom flatbed truck.
  • You are comfortable driving in and out of tight construction job sites and downtown areas.
  • You can perform a daily, 360-degree inspection of the truck and equipment before taking the vehicle out on the road and upon return.
  • If you have any experience in waste, construction, demolition, or driving, don't forget to mention it!
