We handle the day-to-day work so that client school boards can focus on governance and policy issues to be sure that the vision and mission of the school are being carried out properly.


American Leadership Academy - Charlotte is accepting applications for a Middle School Math Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic school year. Candidates must be willing to undergo a background check.


The Math Teacher will play a crucial role in helping students develop a strong foundation in mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills. The goal is to make mathematics engaging and accessible while preparing students for academic success and future career opportunities. The Math Teacher will create a stimulating learning environment where students can build confidence in their mathematical abilities and apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Implement the adopted mathematics curriculum and develop lesson plans aligned to state standards that include clear objectives, instructional strategies, and assessment methods.
  • Incorporate a variety of approved instructional materials and resources to support diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Teach math concepts and skills through engaging and effective methods, including lectures, hands-on activities, group work, and technology integration.
  • Facilitate lessons that promote problem-solving, critical thinking, and mathematical reasoning.
  • Use real-world examples and applications to make math concepts relevant and interesting to students.
  • Create and administer a range of assessments, including quizzes, tests, projects, and homework, to evaluate student understanding and progress.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback on student work to help them improve and master mathematical concepts.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress, and use data to inform instruction and identify areas for improvement.
  • Establish and maintain a positive and productive classroom environment that supports learning and fosters respect among students.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to address behavioral issues and create a conducive learning atmosphere.
  • Ensure that students follow classroom rules and procedures and maintain a focus on their academic work.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students, including those with varying levels of mathematical proficiency and special educational needs.
  • Provide additional support and approved instructional resources to students who need extra help with math concepts and skills.
  • Develop individualized learning plans for students who require additional assistance.
