Our practice is located within a multidisciplinary medical center, allowing our dental team to work closely with other healthcare providers to support comprehensive patient care. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Prepare and sterilize instruments, operatories, and treatment rooms in accordance with infection control standards
- Take and document dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Review and update patient medical histories and records
- Educate patients regarding oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-operative instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely patient charting and clinical documentation
- Ensure patient comfort and provide exceptional customer service throughout treatment
- Support efficient patient flow while maintaining quality patient care
- Collaborate with dentists, hygienists, front office staff, and other departments within the medical center to support coordinated care
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and organizational policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Current CPR certification required
- Dental assisting experience- 2 years min. preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control standards
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
