Job description

Responsibilities

Keysight is looking for a commercially grounded, technically fluent segment leader to shape and scale our global strategy for Mobile and Satellite Network Operators. This role sits at the intersection of terrestrial 5G/6G networks, non‑terrestrial networks, direct‑to‑device satellite connectivity, open and disaggregated RAN, private networks, and evolving operator business models.

The Director will define the 24‑to‑36 month operator segment view, translate market shifts into customer insight and portfolio action, and help drive measurable growth across priority operator accounts. The role will partner closely with Sales, R&D Centers of Excellence, Product Management, Marketing, Strategic Accounts, and peer segment leaders across the wireless and commercial satellite ecosystem.

Mission

Position Keysight as the strategic validation and workflow partner for the converging terrestrial and satellite operator ecosystem, advancing our mission to accelerate innovation to connect and secure the world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shape the global operator and satellite network strategy. Build Keysight’s 24‑to‑36 month view of operator investment priorities, ecosystem shifts, standards evolution, spectrum strategy, competitive dynamics, and validation needs.
  • Drive segment growth. Help deliver segment order growth, revenue growth, gross margin improvement, strategic account penetration, and qualified funnel creation.
  • Prioritize the operator use‑case map. Identify funded workflows across NTN/direct‑to‑device, satellite‑to‑smartphone interoperability, RF/orbit/channel emulation, 5G Advanced, 6G research, AI‑RAN, O‑RAN, energy efficiency, private networks, cloud‑native core, and service assurance.
  • Lead strategic customer engagement. Build trusted relationships with executives, R&D leaders and other key decision makers at top MNOs and emerging SNOs.
  • Create executive‑ready narratives. Develop clear, concise points of view that make operator trends, customer priorities, use cases, and Keysight actions understandable to customers, executives, sales, and product teams.
  • Strengthen Keysight’s ecosystem position. Clarify where Keysight wins across 3GPP NTN, direct‑to‑device validation, device pre‑certification, lab‑to‑field correlation, operator acceptance testing, and chipset‑device‑network workflows.
  • Scale insight across the business. Package industry, customer, and competitive insights so they can inform top‑account strategy, mid‑tier opportunities, GTM plans, and roadmap decisions.
Success Measures
  • MNO and SNO order growth, revenue growth, gross margin, funnel quality, and strategic account penetration.
  • Depth and quality of executive relationships across engineering, procurement, product, and partnership teams at priority accounts.
  • Competitive displacement, new use‑case creation, preference expansion, and adoption of segment plans across Sales and R&D Centers of Excellence.
  • Quality of internal and customer‑facing narratives that align decisions, accelerate opportunities, and scale market insight.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
  • 12+ years of experience in wireless, telecommunications, satellite communications, network infrastructure, test and measurement, or a closely related field.
  • Experience with mobile network operators, including network strategy, engineering, device certification, deployment, optimization, partnerships, procurement, or technology strategy.
  • Strong understanding of 5G, 5G Advanced, and emerging 6G technologies, including RF, protocol, device, RAN, core network, service quality, and validation workflows.
  • Executive presence and technical fluency to engage senior customer leaders and deep engineering experts with credibility and clarity.
  • Proven ability to translate ecosystem insight into roadmap influence, solution direction, commercial action, and business growth.
  • Ability to create clear, compelling presentations and business narratives for executive, customer, sales, and product audiences.
  • Demonstrated success working across global matrixed teams, including sales, R&D, product management, marketing, business development, and executive leadership.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working at, or closely supporting, a major global MNO, SNO, or related ecosystem player.
  • Exposure to NTN, direct‑to‑device, satellite connectivity, 3GPP standards, RF channel emulation, device certification, or network interoperability testing.
  • Understanding of operator economics, budget cycles, network transformation pressures, and the difference between emerging technology interest and funded customer workflows.
