Job description


As a member of the UICC/eSIM Modem System Test team, the candidate will be responsible for system-level testing and validation of the Modem-UICC interface, as well as eSIM/iSIM operating system and platform validation. Modem-UICC interface testing includes validation of mobile devices supporting 5G and LTE technologies across multiple smartphone operating systems. ESIM/iSIM validation includes Consumer Mobile eSIM solutions based on GSMA SGP.22 specifications and Consumer IoT eSIM/iSIM solutions based on GSMA SGP.32 specifications.
The candidate will perform end-to-end testing of Modem-UICC features and other modem functionalities that impact the UICC interface, along with validation of eSIM/iSIM operating systems, platforms, applications/profiles, and Multiple Enabled Profiles (MEP) functionality. Responsibilities include test planning, test development, test execution, result analysis, troubleshooting, defect tracking, and test automation.
System-level validation of Modem-SIM Interface will encompass complex test scenarios spanning multiple technologies, including 5G, LTE, IMS, VoLTE, and VoNR. Test coverage includes user-initiated and UICC-initiated voice, data, and SMS services across Single SIM and Dual SIM device configurations. The candidate will also verify SIM Toolkit capabilities using specialized Sim Toolkit test applets loaded on eSIMs and iSIMs.
eSIM/iSIM testing responsibilities include Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP) validation using both GSMA SGP.22 and GSMA SGP.32 commercial and test ecosystems, as well as conformance testing using GSMA, GlobalPlatform (GP), TCA, ETSI, and 3GPP certification test packages. Additional responsibilities include integration and validation of SIM Toolkit features and applications on test applets.
The candidate will utilize diagnostic tools, including QXDM, for log collection and analysis. Testing activities will involve industry-standard wireless test equipment from Client, Rohde & Schwarz (R&S), and Anritsu for Modem-UICC validation. ESIM/iSIM testing will include SM-DP+ servers, eIM platforms, and Comprion/FIME test solutions.
The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to validate and commercialize chipsets and software solutions for modem and eSIM/iSIMs. The role requires strong collaboration with software development, application engineering, and program management teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage, drive issue resolution, and identify opportunities for system-level optimization.
