Phoenix-Talent School District #4 is seeking applications for the position of:
5.5 HOUR INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT - Orchard Hill Elementary School

REPORTS TO:  Building administrator
SALARY:  $19.55 - $24.77, depending on experience.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  This 5.5 hour position begins August 27, 2026.  Hours are M-F, 7:15 am to 2:45 pm.  This position is for 183 days per school year.  Salary and benefits to be established in accordance with the negotiated Classified salary schedule.
JOB DESCRIPTION:  Assist teaching staff in a school setting by implementing teacher designed instructional tasks, record keeping, student supervision other related duties as assigned.
This position requires a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment for all students. The successful candidate will demonstrate a dedication to ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed, recognizing and addressing barriers to academic achievement.
QUALIFICATIONS: 
















  • Meet ESSA requirements: two years (72+ quarter credits) college credit or successful completion of Work Keys test prior to hiring.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred.
  • Physical characteristics needed: ability to communicate with co-workers, students, and the public; ability to communicate over the telephone; ability to hear (must respond to telephone, bells, students, co-workers, etc.); ability to see (must respond to classroom disturbances, visual cues, student requests, etc.); ability to operate office equipment; ability to carry or lift light loads (25 lbs) and occasionally climb a ladder.

  •       May be given to those who are bilingual in Spanish and English.
