Guardian Angels School is seeking a Long-Term Substitute 7th & 8th Grade Math Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The anticipated start date is early October 2026, with the position expected to continue through mid- to late December 2026.
Candidates should possess appropriate licensure through the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce and have a strong understanding of middle school mathematics instruction. The ideal candidate will be able to provide engaging, standards-aligned instruction while supporting students in developing strong mathematical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and confidence. Experience teaching pre-algebra, algebra, and other junior high mathematics concepts is preferred.
The ideal candidate will create a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment with clear academic and behavioral expectations. Candidates should demonstrate strong classroom management, effective communication, flexibility, and the ability to build positive relationships with junior high students. The successful candidate will also work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure continuity of instruction and a smooth transition throughout the long-term substitute assignment.
