Job description

WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Critical Care Nurse for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in Geneva, NY. This role is ideal for an ICU-trained RN with strong clinical judgment, rapid assessment skills, and the ability to manage complex, high-acuity patients.

Job Function:
  • Shift: 36 hrs | 3x12 Nights | 7p-7:30a EOW/EOH.
  • Evaluate and continuously monitor patient progress in the ICU .
  • Identify sudden or subtle changes in patient condition and intervene appropriately .
  • Provide timely updates to physicians, patients, and family members .
  • Initiate treatments, administer medications, and monitor dosing .
  • Respond to medical emergencies and activate appropriate clinical teams .
  • Deliver comprehensive care throughout the patient's ICU stay .
  • Complete all required documentation prior to patient transfer.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans.

Job Requirements:
Job Requirements:
  • Active New York State RN License required
  • BSN required
  • Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg, Telemetry, or Critical Care experience required
  • Critical care experience strongly required
  • Certifications required through AHA or RQI:
    • BLS
    • ACLS
    • PALS
    • NIHSS
  • TNCC certification preferred within 2 years - preferred
  • Emergency Nurses Association certification preferred within 2 years- preferred
  • Experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office preferred
