Job description

This southwest Georgia medical center, a JCAHO accredited facility, is seeking an Internal Medicine physician to join our team to precept our growing group of IM Residents and build their own practice in our outpatient clinic. Our program currently consists of 13 residents, which will grow to 17 in 2025 and ultimately 24 residents at full complement (8 per year).

This position offers daytime 8-5 work with no nights or weekends. The physician would precept residents in the clinic and have dedicated days seeing their own clinic patients.

We are searching for a physician who is passionate about teaching the next generation of physicians. Our ideal candidate would bring positivity, skill, and purpose to their daily work, and, as a core faculty member would possess excellent teaching skills, communication, and leadership.

We are a regional healthcare system with four hospitals and four nursing homes. We are licensed for 650 beds, employs more than 2,700 people and has a medical staff of more than 200 qualified specialists. We have been recognized as a top hospital in Georgia, by Georgia Trend Magazine for seven consecutive years.
