Job description

Position Summary

As our CNC Programmer / CMM Inspection, you will play a critical role in supporting production, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel to ensure efficient manufacturing processes and exceptional product quality.

This is an hourly, full-time position with benefits. Work hours: 7.00am to 3.30pm, Mon-Fri.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, modify, and optimize 2D and 3D CNC programs using Mastercam.

  • Program complex precision-machined components used in the manufacture of heat staking equipment and related systems.

  • Lead and coordinate CMM inspection activities and quality verification processes.

  • Develop setup sheets, tooling documentation, and manufacturing instructions.

  • Support machinists with process improvements, troubleshooting, & production challenges.

  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, and GD&T requirements.

  • Verify dimensional compliance and maintain customer quality standards.

  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet delivery objectives.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout manufacturing & inspection operations.

  • Provide clear verbal and written instructions to production personnel.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of CNC programming experience.

  • Strong proficiency with Mastercam.

  • Experience creating and modifying both 2D and 3D toolpaths.

  • Thorough understanding of machining processes, tooling, and manufacturing methods.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred:

  • Experience with CMM operation and inspection processes.

  • Experience developing inspection plans and quality documentation.

  • Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
