Job description

Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dental Lab Technician to join our in-house dental laboratory. The Dental Lab Technician will fabricate, repair, and customize dental prosthetics, including dentures, implant restorations, temporary restorations, and other dental appliances. This position works closely with dentists and the clinical team to ensure high-quality restorations while maintaining efficiency and exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Fabricate complete and partial dentures.
  • Process, finish, polish, and repair removable prosthetics.
  • Assist with implant-supported prosthetic fabrication and conversions.
  • Pour, trim, and articulate dental models.
  • Create custom trays, bite rims, and wax-ups.
  • Design and fabricate temporary crowns, bridges, and provisional restorations.
  • Finish zirconia, acrylic, and PMMA restorations as needed.
  • Stain, glaze, and characterize restorations when applicable.
  • Utilize CAD/CAM technology and 3D printing equipment (preferred).
  • Perform quality control inspections to ensure proper fit, function, and aesthetics.
  • Communicate with doctors regarding case requirements and modifications.
  • Maintain inventory of laboratory materials and supplies.
  • Clean and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Follow OSHA, CDC, and infection control guidelines.
  • Organize laboratory workflow to meet production deadlines.
  • Assist with implementing efficient laboratory processes to improve turnaround times.
Requirements:Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Dental laboratory experience preferred.
  • Experience with dentures, removable prosthetics, implant prosthetics, or crown and bridge work.
  • Strong hand dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read prescriptions and laboratory work orders.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with digital dentistry, CAD/CAM systems, and 3D printing.
  • Experience with zirconia, PMMA, and implant restorations.
  • Knowledge of Exocad, 3Shape, or similar dental design software.
  • Experience in a high-volume dental laboratory or in-house dental practice lab.
  • CDT (Certified Dental Technician) certification is a plus but not required.
