Position Description: Production Supervisor – Fabrication

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented 3rd Shift (Weekend) Supervisor to lead the Fabrication, Powder Coating and Finishing team. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the third shift to ensure production schedules are met with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

Primary Duties:

· Lead and supervise a team for fabrication, powder coating and finishing during the 3rd Shift (Weekend), ensuring alignment with daily production goals

· Supervises, trains, and hires personnel and manages the team ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards

· Ensure adherence to daily production goals, manufacturing procedures, and quality standards.

· Monitor and resolve production issues, including workflow bottlenecks and equipment constraints.

· Provide mentorship and guidance to team members; support skills development and cross-training efforts.

· Monitor attendance, conduct performance reviews, and participate in hiring and disciplinary actions in coordination with HR.

· Maintains a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing facility

· Ensures products meet customer specifications and quality expectations

· Convey detailed and timely operation reports to monitor performance and inform decision-making.

Experience & Skills:

· Preferred experience with metal fabrication or powder coating processes

· Strong technical understanding of electrical/mechanical assembly processes.

· Experience reading 3D Models, 2D drawings, and blueprints.

· Solid understanding of quality assurance standards and lean principles.

· Ability to lead employees to motivate; foster open, honest, and candid communication; and determine strengths and weaknesses.

· Ensure all shop employees know and follow all company safety policies and procedures

· Must be able to effectively communicate with employees, other department managers, and senior management.

· Must be able to quickly ascertain a situation and be decisive in solving it, such as identifying defects in production.

· Understand production deadlines, shipping dates and must manage their time accordingly

· Promote excellence throughout the department

· Provide continuous improvement in all critical activities

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think critically.

· Ability to quickly and proficiently understand and absorb new information.

· Interface with other manufacturing departments, engineering, purchasing, processing, shipping and sales

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field preferred.

· OR Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing leadership role (electrical assembly or related field strongly preferred).
