3rd Shift hours are from 11 PM-7 AM. Ritz offers a shift differential of an additional $1.18 per hour for 3rd shift on top of your regular base rate.
SUMMARY:
Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Preventive Maintenance work orders are printed from the Maintenance CMMS system and the completed work orders are to be closed in the CMMS system or given to the Facilities Manager.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Make sure all spare parts for the critical equipment are stored in their proper locations.
- Compressor/Drier/Generator parts are stored in the Compressor room.
- All other spare parts are to be kept above the maintenance shop. The facilities manager should be told when stock is depleted from the inventory so that it can be re-ordered.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
- The ability to read and understand information and ideas presenting in writing.
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
- Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds required.
- Good understanding of machinery and all related equipment.
- Forklift experience.
- Previous maintenance experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 70 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses and steel toe shoes, loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. Hair that touches the shoulders must be pinned up so as not to touch the shoulder.
