Job description

BASIC PURPOSE To maintain a clean and sanitary environment at the college. *Schedule: 3rd shift; 9:30pm to 6:00am; 40 hours per week (Pottstown Campus) **This position requires a pre-employment drug screening test as a condition of employment. ***Hourly Rate: $16.50 (rate includes 10% shift differential) ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Sanitizing & restocking restrooms

Wet and dry mopping; general floor care; strip, scrub, and wax floors. Dusting and vacuuming. Washing windows.

Emptying trash containers. Wiping down counter tops and desk tops. Cleaning white boards and chalk boards.

Setup/breakdown of rooms for special occasions and events on campus. Assist with snow removal/de-icing. Other related duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Education/Training/Work Experience: High school diploma, GED, or 1-2 years experience required Valid PA Driver's License required Specialized Knowledge & Skills: Must be physically capable of performing all duties on job description Must be able to communicate effectively Additional Information Required: Ability to read, write, and follow routine instructions Ability to work within a team-oriented setting Physical Requirements: Functions as part of the emergency response team and is expected to work when the College is closed, for emergencies. Must be able to lift trash containers weighing up to 30 pounds and deposit bags in larger trash container on trash cart. Must be able to perform bending, stretching, kneeling repetitive movements such as those involved in sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, washing walls & chalkboards, cleaning/sanitizing restrooms, or shoveling snow.

Must be able to perform repeated bending of knees and kneeling for extended periods of time while removing accumulated buildup from baseboards and edges of walls and floors. Must be able to perform repeated climbing and balancing on ladders for extended periods of time while changing lights, high-dusting ball lights, window ledges, etc. Must be able to push & pull and lift & carry for extended periods of time while delivering and moving equipment and supplies.
