Job description

SHIFT PREMIUM FOR 3RD SHIFT


POSITION SUMMARY

Ability to accurately run machine operations within the converting department, while maintaining standard rates, quality standards, standard operating processes, labeling and packaging responsibilities.


PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

•Ability to operate one of the following machines: XABM 1 or 2, FABM 1 or 2 or the Kirk Rudy

•Accurately input data into shop floor data collection system.

•Performs packing label requirements

•Ensures preventative maintenance on machinery in the converting department - per outlined procedures

•Understand and perform the Over/Receive process

•Understand and perform the miscellaneous finishing process

•Ability to perform changeovers on all various machinery in the converting department.

•Ensure Safety standards & processes are adhered to and understood, based on standard operating procedures.

•Maintain 5S procedures & processes.

•Meets or exceeds quality standards.


OTHER FUNCTIONS

•Willingness to learn all areas & machines within the Converting department.

•Back up all other areas of the Converting department as needed.

•Occasional operation of box-maker, shrink wrapper, multi-feeder.

•Back up Pick/Pack role as needed.

•This job may require overtime.

•Any other duties as assigned.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

•Basic math & counting skills.

•Team based and detail oriented.

•Possess all job skills necessary for the job of a Convertor.

•Ability to lift 50 pounds.

•General computer knowledge and mechanical aptitude.

•Good understand of standard mechanical tools, (wrenches, screw drivers, measuring devices, cutting devices, etc.).

•Good communication skills in a team atmosphere.

•Ability to read (work instructions, production orders and scheduling reports)

•Must complete training plan & meet the job requirements of a Production Worker within 6-months.
