Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping production equipment operating safely and efficiently. This role performs emergency repairs, routine inspections, and preventive maintenance on industrial machinery. A strong electrical troubleshooting background is essential, along with the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform emergency repairs and routine maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues on industrial machinery (AC/DC systems, sensors, motors, wiring).
- Inspect, clean, lubricate, and adjust machinery to ensure proper operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
- Dismantle, replace, repair, and reassemble equipment parts.
- Operate industrial tools and equipment including hoists, cranes, forklifts, scissor lifts, saws, and machine tools.
- Complete scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks with accurate documentation.
- Communicate repair needs, part orders, and equipment status to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Follow OSHA safety standards and all company policies consistently.
Minimum Qualifications
Must have:
- Strong electrical troubleshooting experience (AC/DC systems, machine wiring, sensors)
- Documented knowledge of:
- Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems
- Welding Processes (MIG/TIG/Stick)
- Machine Tool Operation
- Industrial Equipment Troubleshooting Techniques
Preferred:
- 8+ years of maintenance and electrical experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Additional requirements:
- Ability to read electrical schematics, manuals, and safety procedures
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving ability
- Reliability, teamwork, and a safety-first mindset
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, industrial environment
