The primary focus of the Maintenance Technician is to maintain and repair equipment, to ensure that all equipment and productions line are operating in accordance to company standards.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Perform required maintenance of all equipment
  • Assist in the implementation of new equipment and improvements & troubleshooting to existing equipment
  • Communicate effectively with maintenance and production staff to resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner
  • Track and report maintenance issues or future reference
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines along with assisting in modifying and updating procedures
  • Ensure compound retains are rotated accordingly
  • Continually be advised of equipment updates and operational issues and take action as needed.
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
  • Communicate effectively with maintenance & productions staff to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Ability to diagnose failed components and safely work on voltages up to 480V.
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
  • Use of digital voltmeter
  • Support general maintenance activities as needed
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including off shifts and weekends as needed.
  • Continued education-internal & external training opportunities
  • Ability to handle and resolve problems
  • Ability to perform any other work-related functions as requested by Management.
  • General housekeeping and perform daily/weekly 5S duties
  • Operate forklift/fill out daily forklift checklist when needed

 

Your Credentials:

  • HS Diploma; Technical Degree Preferred
  • 3-5 years related experience in manufacturing setting
  • VFD, Motor Controls experience
  • PLC troubleshooting and modification experience
  • Basic knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic systems
  • Basic knowledge of Chilled water systems
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC systems
  • Strong Electrical experience
  • Print Reading
  • Wiring
  • Troubleshooting
  • Detail Oriented, professional, and flexible to the requirement of each project
  • Dependable, Reliable, Responsible
  • Must be driven and self-motivated
  • Ability to complete written reports
  • Computer Skills

Hourly Rate of pay is commensurate with experience and electrical assessment conducted by Quanex beginning at $25.00/hr. + $1.00 Shift Differential for 2nd & 3rd shifts.
