Maintenance Mechanic – 3rd ShiftKeep the Lines Running. Keep the Snacks Coming.


Location: Kent, WA (Onsite)
Shift: 3rd Shift | Approximately 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM, Saturday – Wednesday
Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour DOE, plus $1.00 for shift differential for working 3rd shift plus a $500 Hiring Bonus once you complete a minimum of 6 months of satisfactory performance.

What You'll Do

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you'll be the expert behind the equipment that keeps our operation running safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and packaging equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, servo, PLC, and vacuum system issues
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities
  • Utilize and document work through our CMMS system
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
  • Support machine startups and production readiness based on daily schedules
  • Repair or replace components using hand tools, power tools, and specialty diagnostic equipment
  • Submit parts requisitions and maintain maintenance inventory awareness
  • Fabricate components when necessary, using grinders, drill presses, saws, MIG, or TIG welding equipment
  • Partner with production teams to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency
  • Follow Lean Manufacturing principles and food safety requirements

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience
  • At least 1 year of maintenance experience in food manufacturing or a related industrial environment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in:
    • Electrical systems
    • Hydraulics
    • Pneumatics
    • Mechanical systems
    • Refrigeration equipment
    • Boilers
  • Experience reading electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Knowledge of PLC wiring and ladder logic
  • Ability to work with voltages up to 480V
  • Experience wiring motor starters, frequency drives, start/stop circuits, NPN and PNP devices
  • Understanding of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and confined space procedures
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of college or technical training
  • Fabrication and welding experience
  • CMMS experience
  • Familiarity with GMPs, HACCP, and Lean Manufacturing principles
Tool Requirement

Maintenance Mechanics are expected to provide and maintain their own quality hand tools, keeping them clean, organized, and in safe working condition.


Physical Requirements

This role works within a food processing environment and requires:

  • Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, and climbing throughout the shift
  • Working around machinery, high voltage systems, steam, hot water, chemicals, and wet conditions
  • Frequently lifting up to 25 pounds and maneuvering materials up to 50 pounds
  • Working in varying temperature environments
  • Strong visual awareness and attention to detail
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for repairs and maintenance activities
