Waste Water System Operator (3rd Shift)
Pay: $21–$24 per hour, + $1.50 (3rd shift premium)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10:30 PM–7:00 AM (shift begins Sunday night at 10:30 PM)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Position Overview
We are looking for a dependable Waste Water System Operator to support 3rd shift operations in an electroplating environment. In this role, you will operate and monitor the wastewater treatment system, perform testing and chemical adjustments, and help ensure safe, compliant production support. Candidates with wastewater treatment experience in metal finishing or electroplating are strongly preferred, and individuals with hands-on chemical lab and titration experience may also be a strong fit.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Complete basic titrations and chemical adds for plating baths.
  • Conduct testing, sampling, and titrations, and maintain accurate treatment logs and records.
  • Monitor pumps, filters, tanks, presses, and other wastewater treatment equipment.
  • Respond to alarms, troubleshoot process issues, and address system deviations as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, discharge permits, and company procedures.
  • Work closely with production personnel to support plating operations and wastewater flow requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe wastewater treatment area.
  • Handle wastewater chemicals, sludge, and hazardous materials safely and in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Previous wastewater treatment experience in an electroplating or metal finishing environment is required.
  • Understanding of plating chemistry and industrial wastewater treatment processes.
  • Hands-on chemical lab or titration experience may be considered for viable candidates.
  • Ability to work independently on 3rd shift with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable attendance, strong attention to detail, and a safety-first mindset.
  • Forklift experience is preferred.

Training & Additional Details
