Job description

Job Details:

This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product through the production process and ensuring proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

ATTN Prior Tyson Workers:

Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 365 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.

The pay for this position starts between $17.10- $17.50/hr. depending on open positions, with a $1.00 shift differential for 3rd Shift.

Hours: 3rd Shift- 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of this position is to operate the machines in the Corn / Flour department. This involves closely monitoring, making necessary adjustments, and promptly reporting any issues to the supervisor or lead. Additionally, this role requires maintaining various log sheets.

  • All team members are responsible for safety.

  • Documenting and calculating results accurately.

  • Taking corrective action when necessary (alert appropriate personnel to adjust process; identify, segregate, & isolate non-conforming product).

  • Reporting results to management.

  • Any additional assignments requested.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Team Member must be willing and able to perform physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems.

  • Team Member will be exposed to warm temperatures ranging from 65-90 degrees, wet and humid conditions, slippery floors in certain areas, and concrete floors.

  • Team Member will be exposed to airborne particles and noise levels that require hearing protection.
