Position Summary

The Program Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing the safe operations of the Samuel Billings Center during a scheduled shift by supporting and leading staff on duty, delegating daily tasks, and ensuring work is carried out to an acceptably high standard.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred; or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Supervisor experience preferred. Must meet criteria for qualified professional and/or pursue and maintain certification with the North Carolina Addictions Specialist Professional Practice Board.

Language Ability

Read, analyze and interpret business, professional, technical or governmental documents. Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and the public.

Mathematical Ability

Compute basic mathematical skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and division of all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Apply common sense and solve practical problems by dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Clerical Ability

Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
