You will be part of a strong and collaborative site civil team delivering comprehensive engineering services to a wide range of public and private clients. We’re looking for a technically strong engineer with deep expertise in stormwater, drainage, and utility modeling, who also enjoys guiding team members, building trusted relationships with public agencies and other clients, and seeing their designs successfully constructed.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and oversee site civil engineering design efforts, including grading, roadway design, stormwater management systems, and water, sewer, and reuse modeling and design.
  • Provide technical support and guidance for the development of engineering plans, calculations, and reports to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Permit designs through the agencies including the Water Management Districts.
  • Assist with quality control reviews and coordination across internal project teams.
  • Assist with scope development and fee estimates for proposed engineering services.
  • Actively participate in the training and development of junior engineers through technical support and knowledge sharing.
  • Coordinate permitting and design reviews with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as assist with client coordination.
  • Participate in meetings with city, county, and state agencies as a technical representative when needed.
  • Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs during construction.
  • Perform necessary site inspections for final certification of projects.

What You Bring

 

  • BS in Civil Engineering required
  • Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • 12+ years of experience in land development design and construction
  • Strong working knowledge of stormwater, drainage, and utility modeling
  • Experience in higher education and/or energy projects is a plus
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to project teams and reviewers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work and thrive in a team environment in the Orlando office.
  • Advanced ability with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office
  • Advanced experience with WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, and ICPR
