Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Capacity Manager to support transportation capacity planning and execution across North America. This role is essential to ensuring that shipments are aligned with optimal carrier resources, and that service commitments are met in the most cost-effective way possible. The successful candidate will act as a key bridge between carrier partners, operations teams, and internal planning resources. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Mississauga, with standard working hours of Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. In this role, you will report directly to the Director of Capacity in our operations department.


Responsibilities:

Manage capacity team
Monitor daily load volumes and carrier availability to optimize coverage and reduce costs.
Support load planning by securing appropriate transportation capacity with preferred or contracted carriers.
Track carrier performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Coordinate with dispatch, terminal, and warehouse teams to ensure load execution meets service and cost targets.
Support escalations related to capacity issues, delays, or service disruptions.
Collaborate with the Senior Supply Chain Coordinator and Team Lead to forecast capacity requirements based on volume trends.
Maintain and update internal systems with accurate capacity and carrier assignment data.
Provide daily status updates to internal teams and stakeholders on capacity utilization and challenges.
Assist with new carrier onboarding and ensure all compliance documents are collected and verified.
Support the preparation of operational and capacity reports.


Skills and Qualifications:

1–3 years of experience in logistics or transportation, ideally within a 3PL.
Familiarity with load planning, carrier sourcing, or transportation management systems (TMS).
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general logistics software.
Bilingual in English/Spanish is an asset for cross-border coordination.
You must have flexibility to work on Canadian statutory holidays to support our U.S. business operations and provide service across North American markets.
