Job description

Overview

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily operations within our service parts distribution center. This role is critical to driving operational excellence, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and safety. The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with proven experience in a high-volume parts distribution environment, deep knowledge of 3PL operations, and a consistent track record of achieving KPIs.


Key Responsibilities:


Operations & Performance Management:

  • Manage and oversee all warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, inventory control, order fulfillment, packing, and shipping of service components/parts.
  • Own, monitor, and drive all operational KPIs including productivity, accuracy, on-time shipment, inventory accuracy, cost per unit, and OTIF.
  • Analyze performance data to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement; develop and implement corrective action plans.
  • Ensure operational consistency and deliver sustained results against SLAs for internal and external customers.


Process Improvement & Compliance:

  • Develop, document, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure standardization, quality, and compliance across all shifts.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, 5S, and other methodologies.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, OSHA, safety regulations, and quality standards.


Systems & Inventory:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the Warehouse Management System (WMS); ensure system integrity, accurate transactions, and optimal utilization.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation processes specific to small parts / electronics.
  • Collaborate with 3PL partners to ensure seamless operations, performance accountability, and cost-effectiveness.


Leadership & Safety:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Supervisors and warehouse associates; responsible for staffing, training, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance.
  • Must be Forklift Certified and able to enforce safe material handling practices.
  • Manage labor planning and resource allocation to meet volume fluctuations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in warehouse / distribution center operations, with at least 3 years in a management role within an electronics parts distribution or similar high-SKU, small-parts environment.
  • Proven experience managing 3PL operations and holding external partners accountable to KPIs and SLAs.
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving and exceeding operational KPIs and results.
  • Expert knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) - implementation and optimization experience is a plus.
  • Forklift Certified - must have valid certification and ability to train/certify others.
  • Proven experience creating, writing, and implementing SOPs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with advanced proficiency in Excel / data analytics tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Korean preferred


Work Environment:

This role operates in a warehouse environment. Requires ability to stand, walk, and work in varying temperatures for extended periods and to operate material handling equipment as needed.
