Job description

Drafter

The Drafter is responsible for working with our team of engineers to convert designs and customer requirements into technical plans; developing drawings/models, specifications, and material requirements of the production of current and future product lines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate with Engineers and Salespersons to gather product requirements and designs.
  • Develop Bills of Material (BOM) calculating dimensions and requirements in materials.
  • Create detailed designs with CAD (computer-aided design) software.
  • Prepare and review rough sketches, present and review with the Engineering Team.
  • Ensure final designs comply with the regulation and quality standards.
  • Develop work instructions to document proper production procedures.
  • Create manuals that describe existing products operations, features, and maintenance.

Requirements & Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with 2D & 3D CAD software; Solidworks and AutoCAD/Draftsight.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all manufacturing activities.
  • Excellent math skills.
  • Experience as an Engineer, Estimator, Drafter or similar.
  • Detail oriented, work efficiently within deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
