The 3D Artist IV is responsible for creating high-quality, AI-enhanced 3D renderings and visual assets that support Generac product and marketing initiatives across static and motion applications. This role applies advanced visualization expertise to transform CAD data into compelling, photorealistic imagery using tools such as Blender, KeyShot, and SolidWorks.
The 3D Artist IV collaborates closely with Creative, Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams to ensure technical accuracy, visual consistency, and effective storytelling. The role uses sound judgment to solve complex visualization challenges, improve workflows, and contribute to the continued evolution of rendering and AI-enhanced creative capabilities.
Major Responsibilities
  • Primary visual driver of ecosystem storytelling process across product lines.
  • Along with brand team, define and own product render standards and best practices.
  • Develop photorealistic renderings and environments using Blender, KeyShot or other CAD-based workflows
  • Convert CAD files into clean, production-ready 3D assets
  • Create lighting, materials, environments, and visual effects that align with brand standards and campaign objectives.
  • Produce stills and animations as needed.
  • Create and refine AI-generated visual content to support CGI, product visualization, and marketing initiatives.
  • In collaboration with Art Directors, lead product teams to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Maintain and expand a library of reusable 3D assets, materials, and environments.
  • Support product launches, marketing campaigns, and customer-facing initiatives through compelling visual content.
  • Analyze and resolve technical or creative challenges related to rendering, asset optimization, and production workflows.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities independently while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
  • Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to team members and project stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and creative workflows

Minimum Job Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Work Experience
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in CGI/3D rendering, visualization, motion or related field.
  • Experience working with CAD-based product visualization workflows.
  • Experience incorporating AI-generated imagery and AI-assisted creative tools into production workflows preferred.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Proficiency in Blender, KeyShot or other rendering workflows
  • Experience working with CAD files.
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects)
  • Leading visual direction of product ecosystem motion assets.
  • Experience working with AI-generated image creation tools.
  • Strong understanding of lighting, materials, and composition
  • Well-developed storytelling/storyboarding/concepting skills
  • Owning project concepting and communication with stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to work on multiple projects and produce great visual solutions under tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to set accurate project schedules and work-flow process under significant workload.
  • Ability to successfully persuade/influence team members, sell ideas effectively and deliver results.
  • Attention to detail and successful follow through.
  • Team player, with positive attitude towards the creative process and strong understanding of consumer marketing objectives.
