Job description

We are seeking a hybrid Experiential Designer who can work across 2D graphic design and 3D environmental design.


This is not a traditional graphic design role. You must be able to:

  • Concept creatively
  • Design visually
  • And think through how it will actually be built, printed, and experienced in a physical space


What You’ll Do

  • Design trade show booths, stage environments, pop-ups, and branded activations
  • Create 3D renderings and visualizations that communicate scale, materials, lighting, and guest experience
  • Develop mood boards, concepts, and client-facing presentations
  • Design large-format graphics (backdrops, signage, environmental branding, etc.)
  • Build cohesive brand systems across physical and digital environments
  • Prepare production-ready files for print, fabrication, and installation
  • Collaborate with project managers, fabricators, print teams, and producers
  • Review layouts, dimensions, and production details for accuracy
  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment


Required Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in experiential, environmental, event, or exhibit design
  • Strong portfolio showing both 2D design and 3D spatial work
  • Experience designing for physical environments (booths, stages, retail, branded spaces, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Experience with at least one 3D tool (Vectorworks, SketchUp, C4D, Blender, 3ds Max, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of branding, layout, typography, scale, and materials
  • Knowledge of large-format print and production file setup
  • Ability to take direction, collaborate, and execute under deadlines


Preferred (Strong Advantage)

  • Experience with Vectorworks (highly preferred)
  • Background in live events, trade shows, or experiential marketing
  • Understanding of fabrication, materials, lighting, and installation constraints
  • Ability to sketch or quickly visualize concepts
  • Motion, video, or interactive design experience


Portfolio Required

Applicants must submit a portfolio including:

  • 3D environments (booths, stages, pop-ups, scenic concepts)
  • 2D design (branding, graphics, signage)
  • Presentation work (how you communicate ideas to clients)
