Description
Position Summary
Super Color Digital is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented 3D Print Operator to operate and maintain our
Massivit large-format 3D printing system. This position is responsible for preparing files, setting up and
monitoring print jobs, performing routine maintenance, inspecting completed parts, and supporting post-
processing and fabrication.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable with computers and production equipment, and
able to troubleshoot problems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and monitor the Massivit 3D printer.
  • Review job specifications, dimensions, files, print orientation, and material requirements before production.
  • Prepare and process 3D files using appropriate print and slicing software.
  • Monitor active print jobs for quality issues, equipment errors, and potential failures.
  • Inspect completed parts for accuracy, surface quality, defects, and conformance to job requirements.
  • Perform routine cleaning, calibration, startup/shutdown procedures, and preventative maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot basic printer, software, material, and production issues.
  • Track job status, print times, material usage, failures, and reprints as required.
  • Minimize material waste and unnecessary machine downtime.
  • Safely remove printed components and prepare them for fabrication or finishing.
  • Assist with trimming, sanding, assembly, surface preparation, and other post-processing as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production area.
  • Communicate production delays, equipment issues, and quality concerns promptly.
  • Work closely with prepress, fabrication, finishing, project management, and production teams to meet deadlines.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working with computers and industrial production equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow job tickets and production instructions.
  • Ability to use basic measuring tools and perform quality inspections.
  • Reliable attendance, strong communication skills, and ability to work independently.
  • Previous experience with 3D printing, CNC equipment, digital printing, manufacturing, or fabricationpreferred.
  • Massivit, CAD, 3D modeling, slicing software, or large-format printing experience is a plus.
  • Physical & Work Requirements
  • Ability to stand and work around production equipment for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and safely handle printed components and materials.
  • Ability to lift within company-established safety limits.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Willingness to work overtime when production schedules require it.
