The Neuromodulation Patient Care Software team is one ofthe most cutting edge groups within Medtronic, defining and executing ontechnology and design across a variety of domains including Mobile Apps, WebServices, 3D/2D visualizations, Animations, and Video for management andcontrol of interconnected medical devices.

As an Associate Creative Designer, you will be working with motivated, diverse, and knowledgeable development teams to deliver world-class products. 

  • You will be responsible for translating complex medical interface needs into engaging and beautiful interfaces for the next generation of Neuromodulation software products. 
  • This role requires the ability to work as part of a team to realize intuitive, innovative, stunning systems that improve the quality of life of people around the world. 
  • This is a highly trusted position that requires an individual to thoughtfully design visuals and interactions with good state of the art design practices, energy, and a passion to win.

Position Responsibilities

  • Design, update, interpret, and implement a common design language across all software touch points 
  • Design of user interface for web,mobile, and desktop applications, including site-mapping, wire framing, and high-fidelity screen generation 
  • Design of user interactions and component animations 
  • Generation of UI prototype materials and final digital assets Continuous improvement of functional procedures, processes, and tools 
  • General advising and consulting for artistic or creative needs.
Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a graphical art orvisual design field Desired/Preferred

Qualifications

  • BA/BFA or MA/MFA in Graphic Design or similar field 
  • Experience with Adobe CS (Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterEffects, InDesign, AfterEffects, and Flash) 
  • Demonstrated mastery of graphic design, illustration,information design, and interaction design 
  • Demonstrated mastery in the formalelements of design, including typography, layout, balance, proportion, rhythm,emphasis and unity
  • An ability to quickly grasp and distill highly complex concepts into illustrations that can be understood by others at a glance
  • Experience working in a deadline-driven environment and meeting those deadlines 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to present work to groups Innovative concepts, problem-solver, and big picture thinking
  • Independent producer and excellent collaborator Enthusiasm for an iterative design process Exhibits proactive, solution-based thinking and execution
  • Maintains professional demeanor under pressure and in situations of ambiguity
  • An excellent eye for composition, timing, and storytelling.Ability to research and develop storyboards, create animation sketches, and communicate visual concepts.Well-organized, detail-oriented, flexible and helpful, able to multi-task, a self-starter.Able to produce source graphics and layered assets for animation.
  • Create screenshots showing UI.
  • Must be able to present multiple design options, collect a variety of feedback from different business stakeholders,and quickly turn around new design candidates Experience with QA and working directly with developers to ensure the successful implementation of a design
  • All candidates will be required to submit a portfolio of work samples and/or links to their work.
