As an integral member of this team, you will contribute to CDM Smith's success by:ResponsibilitiesWorking as a Task Leader supporting site design projects nationwide.Managing technical aspects, ensuring accuracy, and driving the technical vision of projects.Ensuring compliance with regulations and that firm policies are followedConducting site inspections, proposal creation, and client meetingsMentoring junior staff, offering technical guidance, and supervising their workDeveloping project design criteria, alignments, grading plans, utility and drainage plans, construction plans, construction specifications, and cost estimatesWriting of technical reportsSite grading and drainageUtility coordinationUtility design (water, sewer, etc.)Paving and gradingErosion control and stormwater managementGreen Infrastructure and Geotechnical considerationsCompleting Hydrologic and Hydraulic analysis of drainage systems and design of stormwater managementDelivering site design projects from initiation through final design
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam in states where an EIT is not obtainable (within 18 months of hire or promotion or transfer). 5 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Expert Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices. Expert Knowledge of engineer principles of design. Expert Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.). Excellent verbal and written communications skills.#LI-HYBRID
