As a fast-growing company striving to make a difference every day, we are seeking a collaborative and dynamic3D Modeler Technicianto join the team. The 3D Modeler Technician will work closely with the Machine Learning team to effectively translate customer needs to model requirements, train machine learning models using our synthetic data generation and training pipeline, and evaluate the models.


To succeed in this role, you will have attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. You'll play a crucial part in supporting our Machine Learning team to assist with modifying and creating 3D objects, evaluating machine learning models, and identifying areas for model improvement. This work will play an important role in customer-facing model releases. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with ML team to determine customer requirements
  • Modify and create 3D objects using software like Blender
  • Build and test Machine Learning Models for customer applications
  • Program and tune 3D vision system
  • Provide ML support, including evaluating Machine Learning models
  • Provide training for customers and Oxipital AI employees
  • Help to maintain our library of reusable 3D assets
  • Provide applications engineering support (incl. creating use case videos) to marketing team
  • Develop 3D Modeler notes to expand on manuals as needed, and summarize findings in reports to relevant stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in building 3D object or machine learning models
  • Experience with Linux operating systems, the command line, and tools like git
  • Experience with 3D design modeling software; such as Blender
  • Familiarity with the basics of Machine Learning preferred
  • Understanding of physically based rendering workflows, 3D rendering engines, and lighting, preferred
  • Ability to commute and work in the Bedford, MA office
